As a follow-up to one of 2013's Game of the Year contenders, Left Behind has some big shoes to fill, but Naughty Dog has yet to steer us wrong, so we're excited to see more of this DLC. No release date is given for the DLC unfortunately, although PS Blog claims it will be available some time in early 2014 for $14.99. And hopefully, will learn more about the nature of Ellie's immunity. ![]() The post also reveals that the Left Behind DLC will explore the two girls' relationship much in the same way The Last of Us explored Joel and Ellie's. Some backstory was provided thanks to a blog post from Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer which explains that Riley is a mentor of sorts for Ellie. We now know who the protagonist of the story DLC will be, but we don't know what type of narrative Naughty Dog has crafted. There are unfortunately no clues as to how gameplay might work in Left Behind - whether Naughty Dog will break from The Last of Us' formula, or simply adopt it for a younger version of Ellie - only this brief tease.Īs far as Left Behind's story is concerned, details are slim. Much like The Last of Us' main campaign, the visuals in the trailer, specifically the lighting effects, are top notch. In the teaser trailer (seen above), we see Ellie and Riley approaching what appears to be a dilapidated fairground, complete with carousel. Some might recognize Riley from the American Dreams prologue comic that was released through Dark Horse earlier this year. ![]() In this DLC, players will find out what Ellie's life was like before her adventures with Joel, as she explores the post-apocalyptic landscape with her friend Riley. Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells took to the stage to unveil the first trailer for Left Behind, which will serve as a prequel to the main game. #Trailer for the last of us dlc ps3#But this wasn't any old PS3 announcement, but was our first concrete details about The Last of Us' upcoming story DLC, which we now know will be titled Left Behind. #Trailer for the last of us dlc Ps4#The trailer for the “Left Behind” is just below this post so head down there to check it out.Although tonight's PS4 All Access Event was supposed to be all about Sony's forthcoming platform, there was one PS3-related announcement thrown in for good measure. The game has been released for all countries where the date is the 14th of February so if you do live in a location where that is the case congratulations! You’re about to start playing a new DLC! The game will go for roughly $14.99, depending on where in the world you live, and can be downloaded through the PlayStation Network. #Trailer for the last of us dlc full#Within the story you will play as Ellie, Joel’s right-hand girl, but this time it seems like she’s the leader of the duo as she roams around with her old friend Riley who, up until the point of the DLC, had been missing for quite some time.Įllie had not yet met Joel and I believe this DLC will add even more depth to the full game as well as the character of Ellie as it dives deeper into her past and her, let’s say, “origins”. The DLC “ Left Behind” serves as a prequel to the main story of the game. Sony alongside Naughty Dog are extremely excited to announce that the brand-new DLC for their hit game “The Last Of Us” has just been released and with it comes a fantastic-looking and ultimately heart-wrenching launch day trailer that is sure to get fans of the game both excited and a little bit mournful. ![]()
